Laning and Diverting Packages of Frozen Waffles - System Spotlight

This system was designed for one of our customers that wanted to transport, accumulate, index, and divide wrapped stacks of waffles. Products enter the system from the customer’s conveyers and are transported to a diverter. A set number of packaged products are diverted to one lane. When the slug count has been reached, side stops on the diverter will activate, holding back products in the divider tunnel. The tunnel will shift to the opposite lane and the side stops will release, allowing the products to flow. A speed change is incorporated at the discharge of the diverter to singulate products for counting. Products convey downstream in two lanes and accumulate at the product stops. Then, products are released to the customer supplied cartoners in groups of three.
