Orienting and Single Rowing Frozen Food Trays


Orienting and single rowing products are some of our many capabilities and solutions we provide at Shuttleworth. In this system, the customer wanted to take a variety food trays in random orientation from a freezer and single row to easy way orientation in preparation for a cartoner. The challenge the customer was facing was due to the rounded sides of the trays. Products enter the system in random orientation. With the use of three chicane rails and Shuttleworth Slip-Torque® roller surface, the frozen food trays single row with ease. While the food trays convey along the guides, the Slip-Torque surface provides enough drive to gently move the product through the line without forcing the product to the point of over-rotating. Toward the end of the system, a gap is pulled between products using an in-surface speed change and a powered guide.

While the food trays convey along the guides, the Slip-Torque surface provides enough drive to gently move the product through the line without forcing the product to the point of rotating.

Toward the end of the system, a gap is created between products using an insert, speed change, and a powered guide.
